Galco is Ireland’s largest Hot Dip Galvanizer and has been proudly serving Irish industry for over 50 years. With our headquarters in Dublin, we have galvanizing facilities strategically located across the island of Ireland.
We provide our customers with nationwide coverage, competitive prices and a complete package of additional services including, transport, technical support and specification advice.
We also offer a painting service to apply Intumescent paint to structural steelwork along with Galvacoat, our unique system for painting galvanized steel.
Our Access Covers and Drainage division is now one of Ireland’s largest providers of custom-made assist-lift covers for the water industry and provides a complete range of access covers and drainage systems for all locations from light domestic to heavy industrial projects.
We are involved in protecting many aspects of the built environment including infrastructure, power generation, telecommunications, road and rail networks, water treatment, street furniture, schools, gates railings and balconies, structural steel, farm buildings and recreational facilities.
Hot Dip Galvanizing’s uniquely durable corrosion protection properties prevent failures and additional maintenance costs whilst expanding the lifetime of the products we work with.

To achieve our sustainable business objectives, Galco will employ the necessary resources required. In doing so, we seek to:
- Support the transition to a circular economy by providing maintenance free products with exceptional durability and promoting the re-purposing and reuse of galvanized steel products.
- Provide data to the European General Galvanising Association (EGGA) to help calculate an EPD for the hot dip galvanizing process and engage with our supply chain on whole life carbon.
- To engage with our suppliers to provide EPD’s for all our Access Covers and Drainage products.
- Develop a Carbon Emissions Roadmap to reduce our use of energy, fuel, water, and the generation of waste, and other emissions throughout our organisation.
- Establish a sustainability framework approved by the board to guide our work, prioritise the topics and initiatives of most significant impact, and provide the basis for ongoing review and improvement.
- Ensure we comply with all relevant industry, environmental, health & safety and social regulations and legislation. We intend to ensure the health, safety, privacy and wellbeing of our workforce, clients and all other stakeholder groups.
- Promote the enhancement of environmental and social responsibility in our communities.
- Treat all stakeholders, with fairness, equality and respect at all times. Ensuring transparency in all communications.
