Greening Waterford

We are delighted to support the Waterford Lions Club and Our Lady of Mercy Secondary School, Waterford on their recent tree planting day, which saw the students planted a grove of bird cherry trees.

This great initiative is part of the Waterford Lions Club goal of ‘Greening Waterford, One Tree at a Time’.

The organisation has been working alongside the school for several years and the recent planting is a continuation of their great work which has already seen an orchard planted on the school grounds.

 – We understand the importance of playing an active role within our local communities, so it’s great to have such proactive organisations we can help support – says Cheryl Cusack, Galco Waterford Business Manager. – We’d like to thank Brian Jacob for getting us involved and hope to work together again in the future.
