Coronavirus update

Update: 19th March, 2020

Coronavirus update

We are currently in a very difficult and challenging time and our major concerns are the health and wellbeing of all our staff, customers and their extended families. We are also conscious that we need to manage our business very carefully if we are to continue to operate and serve our customer base.

It is essential that everyone follows the guidelines issued by the HSE on hand hygiene and social distancing. We have implemented social distancing and hygiene protocols on all sites to minimise interactions between people and help prevent the spread of the virus. We are asking all drivers and necessary customers and visitors to our sites to adhere to the specific advice given to them upon arrival.

All our Sales Representatives are now working from home and are fully contactable. We would ask that all visitors and sales representatives consider if their visit is essential and to phone or email us where possible.

It is currently our intention to continue trading as best we can. Our ability to do this will depend on our not having a significant outbreak of Covid-19, continued demand from our customers and no further Government restrictions.

Currently workloads remain strong and we continue to maintain full services. Thankfully, we have not had any cases of illness so far and the Government have not introduced any operating restrictions. Unfortunately, this situation may change and we will issue any updates here as they arise. We appreciate there may be difficulties but we ask for your understanding as we work through this.

At this time, there is no certainty as to how long the current crisis may last, but we must plan for several weeks or even some months duration. However, with careful management and control we are confident we can come through this unprecedented period successfully.

I would like to wish you all well and ask that you mind yourselves over the coming weeks.

Take care,

Ed Byrne

Group Managing Director
