DRAINAGE

Bray Seafront Plaza

Upgrades to Bray’s sea-front plaza on Strand Road have recently been completed. This high-quality plaza has greatly enhanced the public space on Bray’s famous seafront.

Placed as it is, in the centre of the local community, it is regularly used by both residences and business in the area. It provides the opportunity to sit and relax while also allowing people to move about easily and comfortably between amenities, cafes, and businesses on both sides of Strand Road.

It provides a coherent connection between the footpaths and cycle tracks on either side and […]

The Butler Art Gallery, Kilkenny

McCullough Mulvin Architects transformed a former stone hospice into a new home for the Butler Gallery and a cultural centre in Kilkenny. Galco was a one-stop-shop for all drainage systems used during the renovation.

The Evans Home, a former Almshouse, has been sensitively restored and combined with contemporary interventions, in the form of two, two-storey contemporary bronze-anodised extensions to form an aggregate of the old and the new.

Particular attention was paid to the design of the outdoor spaces, which house a sculpture garden, children’s areas, and an archaeological site.

Store St. Youghal drained with Monotec

Recyfix Monotec drains Store Street project in Youghal. Cork County Council chose it for its lightweight, high capacity, fast installation, and monolithic drainage system.

Robustness, suitable for vans and trucks twisting/turning on it.

Larger than usual drainage capacity.

Heel-safe for pedestrians.

Corrosion-resistant because of its close proximity to the sea.

Ready to take a high volume of car traffic and trucks doing deliveries.

Aesthetically pleasing. […]

Kerry, Cork and Heathrow Airports

Kerry, Cork and Heathrow Airports rely on Recyfix Hi-Cap – High Capacity Channel – for their drainage needs.

Kerry Airport is the latest airport to install Recyfix Hi-Cap drainage system from Galco for the hanger areas. Previously specified for Cork Airport apron extension and Heathrow’s aircraft maintenance area, high capacity channel offers many advantages over conventional channel drainage, particularly as it provides extra storage capacity for days when exceptionally high levels of rainfall occur.
