Steel rusts unless treated with something
Tired of painting your gates and railings over and over again? Don`t go just for “surface only” treatment – hot dip galvanizing is an application that bonds metallurgically and forms an alloy with the steel. It also and goes through the steel so the inside and outside (interior and exterior) of the gates will be treated. Buying a gate for your driveway, garden or entrance, can be a complicated process. Zinc corrodes 30 times slower than steel
Best option is to choose hot dip galvanised gates for maximum rust resistance, which is a hundred times more rust resistant than standard electro-plating that most gates are treated with. To get extra protection and attractive appearance gates can be painted the colour of your choice with Galvacoat – specially formulated single application paint that adheres to non-ferrous metals such as zinc, and provides a long-lasting and cost-effective alternative to conventional metal paints.
